Six Months Old and Raring to Go!

Jeremy is six months old and seems pretty darn content with his chosen family. The Top Ten List of Things Jeremy Has Learned This Month is:

1. Sitting unassisted for 10-20 seconds before tumbling over.
2. Pushing himself to a standing position under his own power, using his moms only for leverage.
3. Pulling (other people's) hair -- hard!
4. Drinking water from a cup.
5. Standing in his mommies' laps.
6. Rolling over counterclockwise from tummy to back.
7. Dropping stuff on the floor causes the nearest mommy to bend over.
8. Standing on the floor leaning against the couch.
9. Waking up in the middle of the night garners even more love and kisses from mommy...any mommy will do.
10. Standing.

I think the only thing Jeremy loves more than standing is bouncing. Well, he also loves water. Go figure. He loves to drink water from a cup or glass. When ever he sees a glass of water, his eyes get huge, he holds his arms out wide and kicks his feet with glee. He gulps as if he is hydrating for a triathlon. Mama Nay offered Jeremy some shave ice a couple of weeks ago, which Mommy Barb disapproved of since it was flavored with cherry cola syrup, but as you can probably guess, the boy LOVED IT! Later, to prove to Mommy Barbie that I hadn't unwittingly tainted our son with an early sweet tooth, I offered him plain ice chips, and he LOVED IT!!!

At his six month check-up, Jeremy weighed in at 17.9 pounds, which is the 50th percentile, and a whopping 28 inches which is the 95th percentile! We call him our Two-By-Four, since he is two-foot-four-inches tall. He busted out of his six month clothes weeks ago (literally ... he wore holes in the feet of his PJs!) and has also outgrown his shoes.

And his mommies' love for him has grown bigger than they ever thought they were capable of loving. Smooch.
