An Update to Jeremy's Blog!

Posted by Picasa At long last. I am sorry for the unscheduled hiatus. I confess that I have been sidetracked by my mental to-do list. I have promised myself (and Barb) that I need to back up this blog, the thousands of pictures and other memories that exist on this laptop hard drive. That task, along with at least a dozen others relating to documenting Jeremy's life, has kept me in a state of paralysis. "I need to do those things before I spend another minute adding to his blog." Or, "I need to do at least ONE of those things before I spend another minute adding to his blog." And that has kept me from being as liberal with the shutter release. So, I don't have many current pictures. ("Bad mama, you only have 22 pictures so far this month.") But I can't help myself. My to-do list is still robust, but I cannot contain myself any longer. And I have been receiving comments about the dearth of activity on this blog. I read recently that blogs should be updated at least daily to maintain interest among the core audience. Well I will never attain that level of activity here, but I need to stoke the coals a little, here in this year of 2006.

I have been asked occasionally whether I digitally edit my pictures. This picture, complete with the prominent display of dried nasal snot, should prove otherwise. I sometimes crop, sometimes adjust the contrast if Igoofed on the initial exposure. But for the most part, given my upbringing on film, I live with what I saw through the viewfinder.

I hope that no one thinks the lack of commentary here means that Jeremy somehow became boring in 2006. Quite the contrary! He is blossoming into his full personality, and is just a hoot! I LOVE my days off with him. We play. We laugh. We tickle.

So much to share, I am bursting. But let me re-ignite this blog right now. I promise, you will have more time with Jeremy very soon.
