After spending a couple of hours with Jeremy, the two social workers agree that we can bring Jeremy home on Sunday for two successive "overnights," until Tuesday when we will do the official paperwork. So, we kicked into high gear and did what any good American would do ... shop! On Friday night, we went to Costco to stock up on 294 diapers ($50), Desinex ($15), Similac ($150) and Jeremy's first onesie (priceless). Also, the love and offerings of baby essentials from friends continued to pour in. The phone rang happily with well wishes and support. Jeremy, you have chosen a pretty fabuous village!
So, the 2 mommies have 48 hours to prepare for the 1 shining star. What a celestial storm! Below, this is Jeremy's room the day before we brought him home. We have some organizing to do. "Honey, where's the baby?" "I think he's in the Bel Air grocery bag. If not, look in the Pampers box."
